KARU present an immersive audio and visual performance in the quaint Sant’Agostino church in Montalto delle Marche. This first act takes place in an historical location which fascinates not only for its cultural value but also for its architectural elements. Inspired by their affection for this site, the artists have decided to explore its potential as a means of communication.
Through the use of reverbs and delicate arrangements of sax, double bass, guitar, and drums, KARU initiates a dialogue that gradually builds in rhythmic intensity. Accompanied by a video projection that allows spectators to time travel, the performance creates a unique sonic and visual spectacle that responds to the building's distinctive spiritual character. KARU mould their sound in response to the acoustics of the location, resulting in a performance that fits perfectly with the features of the space.
